Whether you’re a fluent French speaker, you’ve just completed your French degree or you only have A-Level French there is a place for you at Chateau Beaumont. We don’t expect everyone to be fluent but we do want everyone to use as much French as they are capable of, even if it’s the basics that you’re taught when you arrive!!!

Group Leaders

You will be the face of Chateau Beaumont, you will be the first person our guests meet and their first ‘port of call’ if they have any queries. You will definitely need a high energy level and love working with children.  You will also need to be organised and have the ability to lead while always communicating with the visiting teachers.

Not all schools want a high level of French spoken but they will want the children to experience a new culture with an exciting history. Tales of battles and pirates and life in years gone by, should bring to life what could just be boring monuments and museums. The children will need to be inspired they should view every excursion as a new adventure and should be begging not to go home at the end of their trip.

Activity Instructors/ General Assistants

Are you the sort of person who hates a routine life? Are you longing to work in the outdoors and looking for adventure? Well this might be the job for you!!!

We need people with a love for life who can encourage and motivate the visiting children. Whether you’re instructing exciting activities such as zipwire, climbing or fencing or presenting talent show or Blind Date your enthusiasm should give the children the confidence to give everything a go and make the most of their holiday.

Catering staff

This position will allow you to work as part of a young team and give you the opportunity to get some real hands on cooking experience. You will be helping to provide meals for up to 120 school children and their teachers, as well as the Centre staff. The guest’s meals follow a weekly plan but you will need to use your imagination to ensure the staff team has a varied and original menu.

Domestic Staff

The whole Chateau Team will work together on changeover days to get the rooms and site clean and tidy and to ensure we make a great first impression. We need people who can work on their own initiative and who will take pride in ensuring the site looks as good as it can for the duration of the groups stay.
