Arromanches

About half an hour drive from Bayeux, this is a pleasant seaside town with long sandy beaches and a clear view of the famous 'Mulberry Harbour'. This town provides an interesting introduction to the Second World War with a choice of two museums: 'Musée du Débarquement' or the '360 degree cinema'.

Ideal as a full day excursion visiting the museums in the morning and the Normandy landing beaches in the afternoon. It is possible to visit the museums in both Bayeux and Arromanches, but we ask you to adhere to the times we give you. Lunchtime closing is applicable in the winter months. Arromanches is ideal as a visit en route to Cherbourg or Le Havre ports.
