Cider Museum

Another fascinating insight into French gastronomic delights! This excursion includes an hour and a half French guided tour of the museum, all translated by your Château Beaumont group leader who will offer plenty of opportunity for the children to get involved.  The tour covers the techniques and machinery used for cultivating and producing cider, demonstrating both old and modern equipment.

The children are then taken to see the bottling of the cider and sample some Calvados, using their sense of smell only! There is also a chance to try a shot of apple juice! (but they think it's cider).

Our Advice

This excursion is especially recommended for reportage groups.

It is an excellent excursion for older age groups especially if you are looking for intensive French for your group.

However we do not recommend this trip for very young groups as the intensive French after a 40 minutes of journey time from the Château can be a little too much for younger students.
