Safety & Security at Château Beaumont
Safety and security are our primary concerns. We take every possible step to ensure the safety and security of our visitors. Château Beaumont has operated successfully since 1996 and we have an excellent record of which we are proud.
We are registered with both the Prefecture de Laval (police, fire brigade and technical authorities) and the Departement de la Jeunesse (social welfare of young people) who maintain very high European standards. We work closely with the authorities to ensure that these standards are met.
All our staff are fully trained to National Governing Body standards for activities and undergo our comprehensive in house training. The centre is regularly inspected by the local authorities to ensure its suitability for groups of young people. All the centre's equipment is regularly checked prior to each use and conforms to all required safety standards. Risk assessments are conducted regularly on all aspects of the centre operations.
Our site is peaceful and secure; some of the ways we ensure that your school group is safe and secure at all times during your stay at Château Beaumont are as follows:
- all accommodation blocks' external doors are protected from outside entry by keypads or otherwise can only be opened from the inside;
- windows can only be opened from the inside, and only for ventilation;
- all our staff wear a uniform;
- all visitors report to reception and receive a visitor badge; anyone without a badge is stopped and challenged;
- a safety talk and fire drill are conducted soon after your arrival.
