How safe is the environment at the Château?
The Château is well established having operated safely and successfully with school groups since 1996.
We are registered with both the Prefecture de Laval (police, fire brigade and technical authorities) and the Departement de la Jeunesse (social welfare of young people) who maintain very high European standards. We work closely with the authorities to ensure that these standards are met.
Our site is peaceful and secure and we take the safety and security of our guests very seriously. Some of the ways we ensure that all of our visitors are safe and secure at all times during their stay at Château Beaumont are:
- all accommodation blocks' external doors are protected from outside entry by keypads or otherwise can only be opened from the inside;
- windows can only be opened from the inside, and only for ventilation;
- all our staff wear a uniform;
- all visitors report to reception and receive a visitor badge; anyone without a badge is stopped and challenged;
- a safety talk and fire drill are conducted soon after your arrival.
Risk assessments have been carried out for all our activity sites and equipment. There are regular safety checks on both the equipment and the site to ensure all activities can be conducted safely and all our instructors are trained and qualified.
