Staying Safe

When you launch a new, updated website, these are not the circumstances you plan to launch it under. Covid-19 has prevented schools from travelling or even remaining open; social-distancing measures will, in all probability, mean that this inability to travel may continue for an indefinite period. But there are reasons to be cautiously optimistic:
- The current situation has focused people’s minds on what really matters in education and on the importance of social interaction. Opportunities to discover and exchange with other cultures will be more important than ever and, hopefully, will no longer be taken for granted.
- Château Beaumont will still be here when travel restrictions are relaxed and, eventually, lifted. We look forward to helping children, both English and French, discover a new culture, try new things and grow in confidence when you are able to travel to us.
- The commitment of teachers and residential providers. Education is more than what happens in a classroom, yet teachers lead the charge in inspiring and supporting children across all aspects of life. Organising and bringing children on residential, educational weeks away is something that many do with pleasure, excitement and a real passion. They will continue to do so when they are able and we will be ready to support them.
